Our mission is to educate the voting citizens and legislators of Missouri about the economic improvements that would be made in our state if we replace our current state income tax system with a slight increase in the state sales tax and if we adopt the FairTax (HR-25) nationally.
Under the MO Income Tax Reform Bills (HJR-56 and SJR-29), the current MO sales tax of 4.225% is replaced by a higher sales tax (%TBA) on new goods and services with no tax on used goods. It broadens the sales tax base to include both goods and services and assures the changes will be revenue neutral for the state and local communities.
